Fairytales Friend or Foe

school2  So many stories, so little time.  With a huge stack of library books, our class read fairy tales and folktales from all over the world.  There’s art nouveau Cinderella and a updated Goldilocks and the Three Bears that points out what bad manners Goldilocks has  and so very many more.  We played knights and dragons and many versions of princesses. It’s vacation time in Chapel Hill, so our class is small and we have more flexibility in choosing books and art projects. Paper airplanes are still an obsession and always improving. Many of our students want to learn to make better hearts.  We have several floor size puzzles that come out on rainy days and small class weeks and we’ve all been enjoying those as well.
