Today we showed a new language work. This work is a vowel recognition work. There are five cupcake wrappers with one vowel on each wrapper (a, e, i, o, u). In a sixth cupcake wrapper are a bunch of cvc words (ex. cat, pen, pit, box, and sun). The words must be sorted into each cupcake wrapper by their vowel. Even the children who can’t read the sorting words can do this work, just by matching the vowels to their matching vowels on the wrappers.

We have also started working more on writing this week, helping the children to practice writing their names and the date. There is significant improvement for everyone!
