On the prairie the week of June 10th
This week is the first week of our summer schedule. We are having a lot of learning about the animals and people who once lived on the prairie in the 1800’s. We have started reading Little House on the Prairie and will be following along with a map as Laura and her family move west. We also have craft that goes along with what we are learning each day. Monday we colored a picture, Tuesday we made a ball and cup game, Wednesday we will be sewing and stuffing our own pillows, Thursday we are working on Fathers Day gifts and on Friday we will be churning our own butter and making biscuits to eat..
Remember to ask your student what they think would be important to bring if they were going on a long trip in a small covered wagon.
