Today was such a rainy day! Instead of going outside, we played freeze dance which the kids love! After a lot of dancing we read a story.  Earl the Squirrel by Don Freeman is about a little squirrel who’s friend Jill gives him a red scarf and Earl goes in search of acorns. On his adventures he runs into a Great Horned Owl and a bull named Conrad. The bull is not very fond of Earl’s red scarf and runs after him and gets stuck in an oak tree. This knocks down a whole bunch of acorns for Earl! The children really enjoyed listening to this book on its CD and they really enjoyed the sound effects that went with it.
